AJ Brown

#1 University of Mississippi, Wide Receiver (Junior)
Height: 6'1     Weight: 225
Grade:     Round:

AJ Brown broke onto the scene in 2017 with well over 1000 yards and more than 10 touchdowns. While he may have started the season with highly touted quarterback Shea Patterson, he continued to produce when Patterson's season ended with an injury. Brown torched SEC defenses and was awarded AP Third Team All-American in just his first season. Brown should be considered quite seriously as the first wide receiver to come off the board, and other than N'Keal Harry there isn't too much competition, but regardless, it's his spot to lose.

Strengths

Average size for a wide receiver

Very good hands, rarely drops passes

Good blocker on run plays

Strong and physical runner with the ball in his hands

Very good speed for his size

Constantly finds the endzone

Locates the ball very well

Weaknesses

Route running needs to be crisper

Looks uninterested in plays where he is not the hot route

Relies on solely speed to separate
